  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 3, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 8,899 (346 children out of this number, 401 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    During the last 24 hours there have been hospitalized 1,207 persons, 157 patients died, 5,100 persons recovered. There have been conducted 60,836 testing (34,818 using the PCR method and 26,018 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    411,093 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

    168,868 people recovered;

    7, 532 people died;

    3,379,029 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kharkiv region (712 cases), Kyiv city (789 cases), Khmelnytsky region (506 cases), Donetsk region (496 cases) and Zhytomyr region (470 cases).

    As of November 3, coronavirus disease was registered:

    Kyiv – 39,534 cases;

    Vinnytsia region – 11,096 cases;

    Volyn region – 14,234 cases;

    Dnipropetrovsk region – 15,729 cases;

    Donetsk region – 11,731 cases;

    Zhytomyr region – 15,833 cases;

    Zakarpattia region – 15,187 cases;

    Zaporizhia region – 10,797 cases;

    Ivano-Frankivsk region – 21,596 cases;

    Kirovohrad region – 2,677 cases;

    Kyiv region – 17,535 cases;

    Lviv region – 31,134 cases;

    Luhansk region – 3,881 cases;

    Mykolaiv region – 8,763 cases;

    Odesa region – 25,785 cases;

    Poltava region – 10,190 cases;

    Rivne region – 19,998 cases;

    Sumy region – 12,409;

    Ternopil region – 21,186;

    Kharkiv region – 38,709;

    Kherson region – 4,424;

    Khmelnytsky region – 16,928;

    Chernivtsi region – 22,881;

    Cherkasy region – 9,670;

    Chernihiv region – 9,213.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
