Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 16, 2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 18,668 (1,312 children out of this number, 403 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 21,513,820 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,445,581 people have been vaccinated. On November 16, 2021, 294,855 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 122,634 – CoronaVac vaccine, 135,701 – Comirnaty vaccine, 26,182 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 10,338.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,122 mobile immunization teams, 3,252 vaccination points and 451 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4,468 persons, 769 patients died,
20,211 persons recovered. There have been conducted 118,797 testings (56,132 using the PCR method, 13,840 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 48,825).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,263,417 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,684,584 people recovered;
  • 78,547 people died;
  • 15,348,780 testings have been conducted.
