Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 21, 2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,464 (579 children out of this number, 74 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 22,669,435 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,835,128 people have been vaccinated. On November 21, 2021, 99,826 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 34,006 – CoronaVac vaccine, 51,365 – Comirnaty vaccine, 9,369 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 5,086.

Vaccination was carried out by 529 mobile immunization teams, 2,795 vaccination points and 470 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,501 persons, 326 patients died,
10,540 persons recovered. There have been conducted 37,163 testings (15,526 using the PCR method, 2,604 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 19,033).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,340,407 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,773,490 people recovered;
  • 81,598 people died;
  • 15,557,638 testings have been conducted.
