In July this year, the State Tax Service of Ukraine reimburses businesses almost UAH 11.2 billion in VAT (with a current application worth UAH 9.9 billion). Moreover, in July last year, the compensation rate was UAH 9.1 billion. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Oleksiy Lyubchenko during an online meeting with members of the Board of the European Business Association on July 26, 2021.

"In July this year, the State Tax Service reimburses by UAH 2 billion more in VAT than in July last year. In fact, this is a very correct trend, because it is serious business support when the flow of funds is not delayed. This is a real investment into development," Oleksiy Lyubchenko said.

Moreover, the parties discussed certain aspects of draft Law №5600 on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and certain legislative acts of Ukraine to ensure the balance of budget revenues. In particular, Oleksiy Lyubchenko said that work on its completion is underway: "I am confident that the document will be improved through the joint efforts of MPs, government officials and consultations with business representatives. The main principles of this project are, first of all, the creation of equal tax rules without benefits for big business."
