Oleksiy Honcharuk: Government will finance all protected expenditure items in full amount

The Government will finance in full amount all protected headings of expenditure, which include pensions, wages and all social benefits. Moreover, it will fund all commitments to which the resource has been allotted.

"The information that is widely disseminated in the mass media today is fake. All pensions, salaries and social benefits will be funded. The State Budget has a sufficient resource for these purposes!" assured the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk.

He explained that this is a temporary suspension of payments by the State Treasury on all other items, which has already happened in Ukraine.

"Why can such a situation occur? At the end of each year, each agency tries to spend all the money that has not been applied during the previous 11 months - someone buys stationery for the next year spending a few million, and someone just masterly embezzles the money. We want to put an end to such practices," said Oleksiy Honcharuk.

The Government has taken measures to prevent uncontrolled spending of public funds. By the end of the fiscal year, that is, until December 27, the State Treasury will manually review on the daily basis all the payments it plans to conduct in order to ensure maximum efficiency in spending Ukrainian taxpayers' money.

"The fact that such a situation has taken place as a result of the inefficient government machine for decades. Our team is now working to ensure such situations never happen again. But the main thing is that people are protected," the Prime Minister stressed.
