The Government will ensure the effective implementation of the land market law if lawmakers approve it in the second reading. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk issued this statement during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

"Consideration of one of the most important decisions for the country - land market kicked off. It is not about selling as many officials are manipulating on it, but about the civilized land market with the right of Ukrainians to manage their land. Ukraine sends a message to the world that we are ready to work in line with civilized rules, that we will not deprive citizens of the right to dispose of their property. For its part, the Government is working to ensure that the law on the land market is effectively implemented in case of approval in the second reading," said Oleksiy Honcharuk.

The Prime Minister recalled that since February 1, the State Geocadastre has already launched a system of automatic analysis of documents, which are submitted to the land cadastre.

"We rooted out corruption component in the registration of land plots. How does it work? If you submit documents for the registration of the land plot, your file can be automatically checked by the program and you will receive feedback on the list of mistakes that you have committed", the PM explained.

Oleksiy Honcharuk added that this step solves the longstanding bureaucratic problems when people could have been waiting for a reply concerning land plot registration for months, and even if they receive feedback, there was no information about what kind of mistake they had made in the file. Thus, citizens have not been able to register a land plot for years.

"Therefore, do not believe in the manipulations that the system will not be ready to launch a full-fledged land market. The system will be ready and the law on the land market will be realized in the best way. The Government is working on it,"  the Prime Minister underscored.
