  • Oleksiy Honcharuk: The state will provide delivery of pensions and subsidies to retirees and people with disabilities
Communications Department of the Secretariat of the CMU, posted 04 December 2019 11:58

From January 1, 2020, the state will provide delivery of pensions to almost 5 million retirees through the  JSC "Ukrposhta" including over 800,000 persons with disabilities. The Government at its meeting endorsed the said decision.

"Tariffs for pension delivery have not been retrofitted for 15 years. Today, they do not cover even the direct organizational costs of Ukrposhta. This year, company losses caused by the pension delivery amounted to UAH 1.5 billion, in 2018 it reached UAH 1.2 billion. This situation has jeopardized the delivery of pensions to Ukraine from January 1, 2020. The Government has settled this situation - we have set delivery tariffs that are adequate to today's realities and have allocated an additional sum worth UAH 900 million for the next year. Pensions will be delivered to every pensioner next year!", Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk stated.

The Head of Government added that this decision is especially important for residents of small cities and remote regions of Ukraine, where, in addition to the post offices, the mobile offices of Ukrposhta also operate.
