    Oleksii Kuleba heads the Coordination Centre for the management of the regions where military operations are ongoing or have taken place, as well as the territories that have been temporarily occupied.

    The Centre was established to unite the efforts of central and local executive authorities, local governments, as well as enterprises and institutions to respond promptly to the challenges of war in the frontline regions.

    Main tasks of the Coordination Centre are as follows:

    • Coordinating the actions of the authorities to ensure social and economic stability, rebuilding infrastructure and supporting the population of the affected regions.
    • Addressing military logistics issues: providing evacuation routes, coordinating the work of military administrations, local governments and government agencies involved in regional governance by developing effective mechanisms and approaches.
    • Improving the legal framework for the management of territories affected by hostilities or occupation.

    Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, has been appointed Chair of the Coordination Centre.

    ‘We will hold the first meeting in the near future. We have to synchronise efforts at all levels of government to ensure effective support for people living in frontline communities, provide support for the army, as well as humanitarian aid and restoration of the war-affected areas," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

    The Deputy Head of the Centre is Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

    The Coordination Centre comprises representatives of central authorities, including key ministries such as the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Education, as well as heads of military administrations in the frontline regions: Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipro and Mykolaiv regions. The Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council, a representative of the Office of the President and members of Parliament are also involved in the activities.
