Oleksiy Chernyshov met with the Ukrainian World Congress team
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Ukrainian World Congress President Paul Grod and Head of the UWC Mission to Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko.
They discussed a number of important issues. In particular, coordination with Ukrainian communities abroad, strengthening national identity, and engaging representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in projects in support of Ukraine.
They also discussed initiatives to strengthen cooperation between the state and the diaspora.
Particular attention was paid to multiple citizenship.
“Currently, the team of the Ministry of National Unity, together with the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada and the UWC, is working on the wording of the relevant draft law for the second reading,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, all conditions are being created to maintain contact with Ukrainians abroad, as well as to restore historical justice and new opportunities for the diaspora, which has never given up its Ukrainian identity.
“The Ukrainian World Congress is a powerful partner that systematically works globally for the sake of our country. Thank you for your active position, support and consistency in cooperation. We are united by a common vision – a strong and democratic Ukraine as a centre of attraction for all Ukrainians in the world,” concluded Oleksiy Chernyshov.
