Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksii Chernyshov took part in the Ukrainian-Lithuanian intergovernmental consultations held today, December 20, 2024, in Kyiv.

As part of the event, he spoke with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania Vladislav Kondratovič, the Minister of Social Security and Labor of Lithuania Inga Ruginienė, and the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Dovilė Šakalienė.

“I would like to thank the Government and people of the Republic of Lithuania for the support they have provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. In particular, the country has sheltered almost 50,000 Ukrainians,” said Oleksii Chernyshov.

Among other things, the parties discussed support for Ukrainians, their rights and opportunities for successful integration into Lithuanian society.

“We agreed with the government officials to actively cooperate to ensure that Ukrainian citizens receive an adequate level of social assistance and preserve their cultural and national identity,” said the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.
