  • Oleksiy Chernyshov took part in the working visit of the President of Ukraine to Poland

    Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov, as part of the delegation led by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, took part in a meeting with President of Poland Andrzej Duda on 15 January in Warsaw.

    He also met with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk in Warsaw.

    The main topics of discussion included further cooperation, defence assistance, the establishment of a just peace and support for Ukrainians temporarily residing in Poland. In particular, the parties discussed the creation of centres of unity in Poland.

    The Ukrainian side expressed gratitude to Poland and the Polish people for their continued support of Ukraine, defence assistance and respect for Ukrainians currently residing in Poland.

    Warsaw, the capital of Poland, has been awarded the honorary title of the Saviour City for its extensive assistance to Ukrainians forced to leave Ukraine as a result of russian aggression.

    As part of the working visit to Poland, a meeting was held with the Ukrainian community. During the meeting, the participants discussed assistance to Ukrainian citizens temporarily staying in Poland because of the war and maintaining their connection with their homeland.
