Oleksiy Chernyshov participates in 20th anniversary GLOBSEC Forum in Prague
During a working visit to the Czech Republic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov took part in the 20th anniversary GLOBSEC Forum in Prague.
At the event, Oleksiy Chernyshov spoke on the panel “Ukrainians Abroad: Strengthening Human Capital and Global Ties for National Renewal.” In his address, he emphasised that no nation desired peace more than Ukraine.
“A sustainable peace will motivate millions of Ukrainians, forced to leave their homeland due to the war, to consider returning. Post-war Ukraine’s task is to focus on economic development to reinforce this motivation,” the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
He also highlighted the importance of maintaining and strengthening ties with all Ukrainians, regardless of their location. In this context, the introduction of multiple citizenship and the development of Unity Centres in Europe play a key role.
Concluding his speech, Oleksiy Chernyshov expressed gratitude to European partners for their initiative to extend temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens until 4 March 2027 and for their consistent support during this critical period for Ukraine.
Additionally, on the sidelines of the forum, the Deputy Prime Minister held several meetings with international partners, including Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, and UK Cabinet Office Minister Nick Thomas-Symonds.
