In Berlin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov and German Federal Minister of the Interior and Community Nancy Faeser held a meeting of the interagency governmental group.
The working group included representatives of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community, Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Federal Foreign Office, and Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection.
The officials discussed key issues related to support for Ukrainians in Germany.
“Germany is a reliable partner for our country in the areas of security and social support. In particular, the issue of greater involvement of Ukrainian citizens abroad is important,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The parties also discussed practical steps to create a Unity Hub for Ukrainians in Berlin.
“Our partners not only support this initiative but are actively involved in its implementation. Potential locations for the first such centre in the German capital have already been proposed,” the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
He expressed his gratitude to the German side for helping Ukraine in this extremely difficult time, and thanked the ministers for their constructive dialogue and readiness for further partnership.
