  • Oleksandr Kubrakov: We are expanding international partnership to provide Ukrainians with housing

Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, announced the allocation of funds for compensation for destroyed housing from the Council of Europe Development Bank.

“+100 million euros for compensation for destroyed housing from the Council of Europe Development Bank. The relevant decision was made by the Bank’s Administrative Council, and negotiations are underway to sign a framework loan agreement,” he said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this amount will be enough to provide more than 2,000 housing certificates for Ukrainians whose homes were destroyed as a result of russian military aggression.

Oleksandr Kubrakov also stressed that since the launch of the state compensation programme, more than 11,000 applications had been received, and since January 1,637 Ukrainian families had already purchased new homes for a total of UAH 3.4 billion: “It is the joint work of a large government team and international partners to rebuild Ukraine.”
