Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, commented on the meeting with the G7 Ambassadors at an energy infrastructure facility.
“This is one of the many facilities where we are working together with Ukrenergo and the Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development to passively protect substations, particularly from drone and missile attacks. This is a complex construction, but we are moving towards creating fortifications that will serve for decades to come. We know that in the future we will need significant support from international partners to fully protect our networks. And although we know that the winter will be tough, it will be much harder for russians to take down our power system and plunge the country into a blackout,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov.
