Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, signed a Sectoral Agreement in the field of road transport for 2024-2026 with the Federation of Employers in Transportation of Ukraine, the joint representative body of the Trade Union of Road Transport and Road Facilities Workers of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Independent Trade Union of Transport Workers.
On behalf of the trade unions, the agreement was signed by Volodymyr Vakulyuk, Chairman of the Trade Union of Road Transport and Road Facilities Workers of Ukraine, Orest Klympush, Chairman of the Federation of Employers in Transportation of Ukraine, and Viktor Gerbeda, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Independent Trade Union of Transport Workers.
“Ensuring sustainable development of the road transport industry is impossible without interaction and cooperation with specialised organisations and their expert support. The signed Agreement envisages the involvement of trade unions in the development of the industry, the formation of policies and the development of solutions aimed at improving the industry,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov.
The signed Agreement provides for the participation of authorised representatives of the parties in advisory and consultative bodies, meetings and conferences related to the issues of road transport, traffic safety, occupational safety and health, as well as membership in commissions and tender committees in accordance with the law.
This also includes the preparation of proposals, recommendations and conclusions on economic and social development programmes, legislative and other regulatory acts relating to the regulation of economic and social labour relations, remuneration, labour protection, social protection and traffic safety of the parties to social dialogue in the road transport sector.
