On September 18, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleh Uruskyy and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldguzen had a meeting.
The Deputy Prime Minister told about the priority tasks facing the Ministry, in particular, on the reform of the defense-industrial complex. The Ukrainian official shared the plans to reform the State Concern Ukroboronprom. He stressed that the relevant holdings will be created to comprise companies working in various areas of the defense industry and the aerospace industry.
Oleh Uruskyy assured that the Ministry will not interfere in any way in the work of these enterprises being part of the holding companies.
"Our goal is to create a normal business environment," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed, adding that this would facilitate the entry of foreign companies with investments, including German businesses, into Ukrainian markets.
Oleh Uruskyy thanked for the support in implementing the European and Euro-Atlantic course and expressed hope that Germany would remain one of Ukraine's key partners, in particular in the processes of industrial development and reform.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Ms. Anka Feldhusen noted the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation between the Ukrainian and German sides.
The parties discussed certain issues of activities of the Ministry for Strategic Industries and expressed interest in the faster development of cooperation in various industries.
