OECD to allocate nearly EUR 285,000 to Ukraine to cover fees and dues for membership in a number of its bodies
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) will cover Ukraine’s 2024 contributions and partnership fees to a number of its bodies, as well as Ukraine’s arrears for 2022 and previous years, from its own budget. In total, it will allocate almost EUR 285,000.
In particular, this money will be used to pay Ukraine’s contributions to the International Transport Forum, the Steel Committee, the OECD Seed Schemes, and the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, as well as its partnership fees for the Competition Committee, Public Governance Committee, SMEs and Entrepreneurship Committee, the Inclusive Framework on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, the Investment Committee in enlarged session, and the Working Group on Bribery.
“Ukraine highly appreciates the support provided by the OECD. The latest decision of the OECD Council once again confirms this. It is a signal to us that we are moving in the right direction and that our partners see this. Becoming a member of the OECD and further deepening our cooperation is one of the priorities for Ukraine today. With the OECD, we are focused on investment incentives, investment facilitation and deregulation, expanding support for ECAs in Ukraine and their coverage of 100% of investment risks, and reclassifying our country’s risk group from Group 7 back to Group 6 to make risk insurance more affordable,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
