Starting in May, subsidy recipients will have to submit a new application. Applications can be sent within the next 5 months, including online or by mail. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his introductory statement at the Government meeting on April 28.
The Prime Minister noted that currently, 92% of recipients receive it in cash. From May, all 100%, he said, will receive ready money as a subsidy.
"Also, some new rules are being introduced for those who will not be assigned a subsidy. If you have more than 100 thousand hryvnias in your bank deposit account, buy a new car or currency for more than 50 thousand hryvnias in one payment, you will not be eligible for a subsidy. That is, nothing will change for the majority of subsidy recipients," the Head of Government stressed.
Denys Shmyhal also stressed that the new rules are about justice when the state increases and pays assistance to those who truly need it.
"Such a policy applies to all social benefits, and the process of fair verification is a state position that we will advocate," summed up the Prime Minister.
