On Thursday, July 30, the fourth meeting of the Anti-Crisis Energy Headquarters was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
The meeting gathered together also acting Minister of Energy Olha Buslavets, MPs, management of the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC), NNEGC Energoatom, SE Energorynok, NEC Ukrenergo, SE Market Operator and other representatives of the energy sector.
The Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal appealed to the NEURC team with a demand that the regulator should urgently make a decision to balance the electricity market and to ensure its further efficient operation.
"The Government is interested in balancing both the market as a whole and its separate elements, in particular, Energoatom and the Guaranteed Buyer. The role of the NEURC today in this process is crucial. We appeal to the market regulator to speed up the process of all calculations. The Ministry of Energy will exert every effort to promote and support such processes," the Head of Government stressed.
Meanwhile, on the outcomes of the work of the Anti-Crisis Headquarters, it was instructed to hold separate working meetings with NNEGC Energoatom, PJSC Centerenergo and other energy companies to tackle the issues of financial stabilization, implementation of the forecast balance, timely payment for coal.
