On 28-29 June, 2018, the meeting of the High-Level Group on Central and South-Eastern Europe Connectivity (CESEC) took place in Sofia, Bulgaria. Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine on European Integration Nataliya Boyko participated in the said event.  

Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria Tomislav Donchev, Temenuzhka Petkova, Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, the Climate Action and Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete opened the meeting.

Energy ministers from the region as well as eepresentatives of 9 member-countries of the European Union were the attendees of the meeting.

The focus was placed on the state of play and progress made on priority gas projects in the region, regional cooperation in the field of electricity,  and energy efficiency.

The event offered an opportunity to discuss in depth the state of affairs and the next steps in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding and the CESEC Gas Action Plan.
