Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba met with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso.

First Deputy Minister Aliona Shkrum and Deputy Ministers Maryna Denysiuk and Yevhen Dubogryz also took part in the meeting.

"We are pursuing systematic work with key international partners. Cooperation with the EBRD covers areas of critical importance for the country – transport infrastructure, energy, and corporate governance of state-owned enterprises. The most pressing issue today is the smooth passage of the heating season, especially in the frontline territories, and we discussed the attraction of additional resources," Oleksii Kuleba noted during the meeting.

In the context of support for Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksii Kuleba expressed his gratitude for the signing of a contract for the supply of 55 electric locomotives as part of a joint project with the EBRD and the World Bank. This is an important achievement in the difficult conditions of wartime. A possibility of additional funding to ensure the company's operation was also negotiated.

“Special attention should be paid to the Port of Chornomorsk. We have reached the final stage of preparing a tender for the First and Container Terminals. This is a significant step towards the development of a transparent public-private partnership in the port industry,” added the Deputy Prime Minister.

The Ukrainian side thanked the EBRD for its trust, continued partnership, and willingness to support the country during the most turbulent times.
