In Zakarpattia, Biopharma plans to launch the first phase of one of Europe’s largest plants for the production of pharmaceutical products and immunobiological preparations in September. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko after inspecting the new production facilities with investor Kostiantyn Yefymenko during a working visit to Uzhhorod.

The Head of Government noted that a year and a half ago, during her visit to Zakarpattia, there were only foundations and concrete pillars at this site.

The facility will create 150 jobs and ensure a full cycle of blood plasma processing in Ukraine. The main building and raw material warehouse have already been constructed, and the equipment has been installed. The company has invested 67 million euros, with the total cost of the first phase amounting to EUR 75 million.

Biopharma exports its products to dozens of countries and plans to expand its presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, while continuing to expand its capabilities.

In addition to manufacturing, the company systematically supports talented children and invests in biology education. The company has established two biology classes in Kyiv, as well as two Bio-Schools in Kyiv and Bila Tserkva. Students there receive 10 hours of instruction per week in mathematics, chemistry, and biology, and the program is free of charge. Plans are in place to build another 25–30 Bio-Schools, with the next ones to appear in Uzhhorod, Lviv, and Dnipro.

“This is an example of a responsible Ukrainian investor who continues to invest in the country even during the war and creates high-value-added production. Thank you for this important work,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
