
Government has allocated UAH 5.6 million to purchase housing for IDPs
The Government of Ukraine has allocated the sum worth UAH 5.6 million for the purchase of 18 apartments and one house for the temporary residence of approximately 55 internally displaced persons. The relevant order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the distribution of subventions from the state budget to local budgets in 2020 to implement measures to support areas affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine" was adopted at a Government meeting on 5 August.
At the expense of the subvention, housing will be purchased in the settlements of Donetsk region: the city of Kramatorsk - 10 apartments, the city of Pokrovsk - 8 apartments and the Zaporizhia region: the city of Prymorsk - 1 building.
In total, in 2020, at the expense of the subvention, it is planned to purchase approximately 66 apartments and 9 buildings for temporary residence of approximately 235 IDPs.
The Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2020" under the budget program "Subvention from the state budget to local budgets for measures to support areas affected by the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine" provides for budget expenditures in the amount of UAH 20 million, where the main spending agency is the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
