The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the procedure for using funds from the account of the Ministry of Economy opened under the United24 platform to finance humanitarian demining.
The Government made the decision at its meeting on 18 July. The Procedure will be made public once it has been finalised and the relevant procedures have been completed.
“We continue to work on humanitarian demining in Ukraine, and today we are one step closer to safe territories. Clear and practical mechanisms have been approved for the use of funds that will be transferred to a special account of the Ministry of Economy to finance humanitarian demining. What is important for us and for donors is that the process will be as transparent as possible. The procedure involves regular publication of information on humanitarian demining needs on the official website of the Ministry of Economy and on the United24 portal. In turn, the spending units are obliged to publicly report on the goods, works and services purchased or provided with the funds received,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

The decision to open a current account by the Ministry of Economy to receive funds in national and foreign currency from individuals and legal entities, residents and non-residents as charitable donations, humanitarian aid, grants and gifts to finance humanitarian demining was made by the Government on 28 April 2023.
The United24 project was established on the initiative of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in May 2022. Today, United24 is the main platform for donations in support of our country. The funds are transferred to the accounts of the National Bank of Ukraine and allocated by the relevant ministries to meet key needs.
