Ministry of Foreign Affairs: European Parliament recognizes russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and a state that uses means of terrorism

On November 23, the European Parliament adopted a historic resolution recognizing russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and a state that uses means of terrorism. russia is a terrorist state and this is a proven fact.
The European Parliament supported proposals of the Ukrainian side to the text of the resolution, including:
- the need to establish an international tribunal for russia’s crime of aggression;
- isolation of russia at all levels, including restriction of diplomatic relations and expulsion from the UN Security Council
- ban on operation of russian organizations spreading propaganda;
- creation of compensation mechanisms for Ukraine;
- application of enhanced restrictive measures and a sanctions regime for human rights violations;
- development of a legal mechanism at the EU level to recognize states as sponsors of terrorism and include russia in the list;
- inclusion of the “wagner” group in the EU list of terrorists;
- increasing economic, political and military support for Ukraine;
- support of the next macro-financial assistance package.
