During the 8 months of the “customs visa-free regime”, 7,500 transit declarations were issued in the NCTS (New Computerised Transit System).
The total number of movements from Ukraine in 8 months was 5,974. In May 2023, 2,698 movements started in Ukraine were completed in the countries participating in the Convention on a common transit procedure. This is almost twice as many as in April 2023. This positive trend has been observed for 3 months in a row.
Since the start of the international application of NCTS, 1,529 common transit declarations have been used to deliver goods to customs offices of destination on the customs territory of Ukraine. The number of such declarations in May 2023 was 331.
Also in May, the guarantors entitled to guarantee the movement of goods under the common transit procedure began to actively use the electronic guarantee registration web service. Thus, during this period, 7 general and 21 individual guarantees were registered electronically.
Information on the new opportunities for Ukraine with the accession to the Convention on a common transit procedure and the use of the NCTS system is available on the website of the Ministry of Finance (in Ukrainian).
