Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi met in Bucharest with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania Petre Daea.
The ministers discussed the situation that had developed as a result of recent decisions by some of Ukraine's neighbouring countries. The Romanian minister confirmed that the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products would continue to operate through the country to the maximum extent possible and that the solidarity routes would be maintained.
For his part, Mykola Solskyi thanked his counterpart that Romania had not decided to ban imports of Ukrainian agricultural products.
The parties agreed to wait for the European Commission's decision and to discuss aftermath all other issues related to the import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
