Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held an online meeting with German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir.
The parties discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe.
The German Minister of Agriculture stressed that his country stood in solidarity with Ukraine. He underlined that unilateral actions by the EU countries were unacceptable.
Cem Özdemir expressed support for the idea of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to establish a joint advisory group of the EU, the European Commission and Ukraine.
For his part, Mykola Solskyi thanked for the support. In particular, for the fact that Germany was one of the signatories of the letter from the relevant ministers of 14 EU countries to the European Commission. In the letter, the signatories expressed concern over the temporary ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine to five EU countries and called on the European Commission to explain this decision.
