Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi held a regular online meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova Vladimir Bolea. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ukrainian and Moldovan railways.

Representatives of both sides discussed the current state of negotiations on the reduction of tariffs for the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products by rail through Moldova.

The Moldovan side announced that it had finalised a proposal for new tariffs for the transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products. In particular, the proposed mechanism provides for tariff adjustments in the event of an increase in transportation volumes. Now the Ukrainian side has to study them and provide its response.

For his part, Mykola Solskyi thanked for the understanding and noted that Moldova’s proposals would be discussed with the business community in the near future.
