Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal had a conversation with the newly appointed Prime Minister of Romania Marcel Ciolacu.
The parties discussed the expansion of logistics capabilities between the two countries.
“We have the potential to triple transit through the development of border crossing points, ferry crossings, and sea and river ports. I propose to work out the appropriate steps at the governmental level using the best European practices. In particular, the introduction of joint customs control, the exchange of databases and other measures,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine said.
Denys Shmyhal thanked the Romanian Government for its position in support of Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO, as well as for its assistance at all levels during the full-scale war.
“We look forward to further close dialogue for the benefit of our countries,” the Head of Ukrainian Government concluded.
