Ukraine is an integral part of European energy markets and is interested in deepening cooperation with Bulgarian partners. This is essential for strengthening the energy security of the region.

The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk emphasized this during his online speech at the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Business Forum.

Mykola Kolisnyk thanked Bulgaria for the strong cooperation between the countries in the energy sector, the implementation of the green transition, and technical support to the energy sector in restoring energy facilities damaged by russian shelling.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that Ukraine had projects for the development of the energy sector, which opened up opportunities for investment and deepening cooperation between the two countries.

He highlighted the prospects for investment in the Ukrainian electricity sector and the development of generation, recalling that the Ukrainian power system is synchronized with the European ENTSO-E. It was also emphasized that Ukraine has a high investment potential in renewable energy, biomethane production, and the production of ecological fuels. It was also noted that Ukraine appreciates cooperation with Bulgaria in the Vertical Corridor project, which plays an important role in diversifying gas supply routes and ensuring energy security for the entire Eastern Europe region. "We invite potential investors to look at our markets as a single unique market united by European-style opportunities and rules. The more we organize infrastructure cooperation and increase cross-border traffic, the more opportunities we will provide investors with for investment projects in various fields," Mykola Kolisnyk emphasized.
