Ukraine already has the necessary architecture for the negotiation process with the European Union. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a Government session on 14 January.
According to him, 36 working groups have been formed to prepare Ukraine’s positions in all clusters.
“We are doing everything possible to make 2025 a turning point on our European integration path. We are moving from the political decision to start negotiations to actual negotiations on specific clusters,” the Head of Government noted.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine would continue to screen its legislation for compliance with European legislation. The main task is to complete the negotiation process as quickly as possible.
Denys Shmyhal also thanked the EU for its financial support. Today, the European Union is a key donor to the Ukrainian budget.
“Over the 35 months of the full-scale war, we have already attracted more than USD 50 billion to the state budget from the EU and European countries,” the Prime Minister said.
According to Denys Shmyhal, this year Ukraine has already received the first EUR 3 billion from its European partners, which will be secured by the proceeds of frozen russian assets.
