Interior Ministry postpones the launch of automatic photo-video traffic violations detection system through the quarantine restrictions

On March 12, 2020, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine presented a pilot project of an automatic system of recording administrative offenses in the sector of traffic safety.

It was announced the system is expected to be put into operation on May 1 this year.

On March 11, the Government introduced strict quarantine restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Ukraine.

These restrictions partially apply to the activities of certain units of the National Police and other organizations involved in the operation of the auto-recording system.

Therefore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has decided to postpone the launch of the photo-video traffic violations detection system until the end of the strict quarantine regime.
