The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with MPs, is working to create an integrated security ecosystem in schools, which will include civil protection, technogenic and fire safety, access control and safe surrounding areas.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kateryna Pavlichenko said: “Student safety is our priority. Creating a safe educational environment requires a comprehensive approach in which each element plays an important role.”

“Effective interaction between all participants in this process will help protect every student. Implementation of security requires not only the willingness of the participants but also a proper legislative framework. That is why the Ministry of Internal Affairs is working with MPs to amend the Law of Ukraine ‘On complete general secondary education’. These amendments are aimed at creating clear legal mechanisms to ensure a safe educational environment, including establishing rules for staying on the territory and in the premises of educational institutions, as well as effective police involvement in preventive measures. The active involvement of parents, the community and MPs is an important element in this process. Together, we will create a safe environment where every student will feel protected,” the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs concluded.

This project is aimed at improving the level of security in educational institutions and ensuring comfortable learning for all participants in the educational process.
