The capacity of the agricultural sector is sufficiently developed and allows to double agricultural production. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the working visit to Ternopil region on June 15.

"We have promising prospects which will allow to increase harvest and the economy,  Volodymyr Groysman stressed. – Agricultural sector demonstrates a  growing tendency.  We can produce more than twice agricultural products".

The Head of Government recalled that the support programs offered by the Government  are already yielding results, thus it will contribute to the achievement of the goal. The issues at stakes are programs for supporting the young cattle, constructing new and expanding existing farms, and reducing the cost of technology.

"For example, we had a plan to plant 3 thousand hectares of new gardens. And these plans (in fact) will be more than 4,5 thousand hectares. Farmers are applying to these programs. They say that everything is transparent, through banks, without corrupt or shadow schemes", the Head of Government stressed.

 At the same time, the Pime Minister said that the emphasis in the agrarian sector today is placed  not only on increasing the production, but also on the deepening of processing, creating additional value within the country.

"It's important for us to form this chain,"Volodymyr Groysman underscored.  I  will support our farmers in this area".
