The Government has approved the allocation of a UAH 100 million funding to the Ministry of Health for the purchase of artificial ventilation devices. The resource will be sufficient for approximately 200 ventilators. It is envisaged to purchase the systems of Ukrainian production.
The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxym Stepanov announced this at a briefing following the Government's meeting on April 29.
“It will be possible to purchase approximately 200 state-of-the-art ventilation systems that meet the required technical criteria and can be used to provide medical care for the patients with COVID-19,” said Maxym Stepanov.
The Minister of Health stressed that these would be devices of Ukrainian manufacture. "They have passed all the necessary testing and immediately after the purchase the systems will be delivered to our hospitals all over the country," told Maxym Stepanov.
