Ministry of Health and the European Commission work together to evacuate wounded Ukrainians

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine, in cooperation with the European Commission, is sending Ukrainians who suffered as a result of the russian military aggression to receive medical treatment abroad. Both adults and children are being evacuated with severe injuries, burns and other diseases that are currently impossible to treat in Ukraine.

For the first time, a "flying hospital" was used for the evacuation on the route "Lviv - Rzeszów - Cologne", which is a special flight medical service of the Luftwaffe of the German Armed Forces.

On board the "flying hospital" there are six modules of intensive care up to 38 places for people with minor injuries or 56 places for the wounded. The board is equipped with systems of artificial lung ventilation, control of circulatory functions and holding infusions, portable ultrasound machine.

During the flight, patients are cared for by 25 doctors and nurses.
