Ukrainians affected by the war and suffering severe burns are being treated in clinics in the United States. Thanks to close cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the United States is ready to continue accepting Ukrainian citizens for treatment. This was announced by the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko following a meeting with the Assistant Secretary for Global Affairs, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Loyce Pace, which took place during the 75th session of the World Health Assembly.
"In recent years, with the support of the US government, including the expert, we have managed to make qualitative changes for the health care system. Today we can say with confidence that during the three months of the war the support of Ukraine from the United States of America has strengthened many times over. Almost every week we receive numerous humanitarian shipments from the US government and NGOs, "said the Minister of Health of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the war, the United States has been one of the first to provide humanitarian support to the health sector, sending to Ukraine shipments of drugs, consumables and equipment that are currently used in frontline and frontline hospitals.
According to Viktor Liashko, the projects in Ukraine being implemented with the support of the U.S. government will be continued. The active implementation of new projects in the field of health care at the request of our country is also discussed.
