On December 13, 2022, the Parliament adopted amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities" concerning the activities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (NRFU).

The adoption of the law is aimed at improving and expanding the capabilities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, in particular, conducting competitive project selections, ensuring the functioning of all areas of grant support of the NRFU, effective participation of the National Foundation in international scientific and technical cooperation and conducting independent scientific and scientific-technical expertise of projects, improving the process of selecting and filling vacancies of members of the scientific council for the smooth operation of the National Foundation.

The National Research Foundation of Ukraine is an important component of the scientific sphere of our country, as it ensures the organization and conduct of open competitive selection of projects for the implementation of scientific research and development funded by grant support. Adoption and implementation of the law will contribute to its effective and full functioning and promotion of scientific and scientific-technical activity in Ukraine.
