Register of Damage for Ukraine opens all 43 categories of claims for submission: Sergii Koretskyi

As of today, the Register of Damage caused by Russian aggression against Ukraine has opened all 43 categories of claims for submission. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi.

"Russia must be held accountable for all the harm it has caused — and continues to cause — to Ukraine: to our people, our businesses, and our state," the Head of Government emphasized.

In total, 21 categories of claims are available for individuals, 11 categories for legal entities, and 11 categories for the state. The last three categories for the state opened today.

The Register covers a wide range of losses and damage caused by Russian aggression: personal losses, damage to homes and property, business losses, destruction of infrastructure, harm to cultural heritage and the environment, and losses suffered by the state.

195,000 claims have already been submitted, with more than 65,000 entered into the Register so far.

"Every properly documented loss builds the evidence base for future consideration under the international compensation mechanism," Sergii Koretskyi noted.

Opening all categories of claims lays the groundwork for future decisions on fair compensation and holding Russia accountable.
