On November 26, in the framework of the visit of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, Andrii Zagorodniuk held a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Estonia Jüri Luik.

The parties discussed relevant directions of cooperation between the defense agencies of both countries and outlined further steps of cooperation.

Following the meeting, a Declaration of Intent for cooperation within the territorial defense sphere was signed.

The document defines cooperation in the field of development of the Territorial Defense Concept of Ukraine and practical implementation of the pilot project in this field within the designated territorial-administrative units (regions) of Ukraine.

The drafting of the Territorial Defense Concept of Ukraine is planned to be carried out taking into account the experience of the establishment and functioning of the Estonian Defense League and the voluntary national defense organization of the Republic of Estonia.
