A mission of the International Monetary Fund, led by Mr. Ron van Rooden, will begin its work in Kyiv this week.
On November 14, the Mission will arrive to continue the discussion with the Government of Ukraine on a new 3-year EFF Arrangement to maintain macroeconomic stability and carry out structural reforms.
Negotiations between Ukraine and the IMF on a new financing program are undergoing an active phase. The IMF announced the previous two programs with Ukraine had been quite successful and noted significant progress in achieving macroeconomic stability and economic growth.
Meanwhile, the 14-month Stand-By program approved as a transitional program to promote the macroeconomic stability of Ukraine in the period between the two elections, the presidential and the parliamentary, remains in effect.
