Minister for Veterans’ Affairs of Ukraine Yulia Laputina held an online meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Gernot Pfandler.

The Minister commended Austria's support for the chosen by Ukraine European integration path, in particular, expert and technical assistance in the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union.

According to Yulia Laputina, the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs is interested in further expanding cooperation with Austria. Among the most important areas is the rehabilitation of war veterans, notably the implementation of a rehabilitation program for members of the ATO/JFO with profound visual impairments.

The Minister also added that throughout the seven years of the war, Austria has been constantly providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and its citizens who have suffered as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine, Gernot Pfandler, assured that Austria would continue to support Ukraine on its path towards European integration and help the military return to a peaceful life.
