Prime Minister claims the Government increased social protection of the military

Last year became a year of betterment of social protection of military and law enforcement officers both in terms of funding and improvement of living conditions. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during the presentation of a report of the Cabinet of Ministers’ activities  in 2018.

The Head of Government informed that 3.2 thousand apartments were bought last year. For the first time UAH 1.6 billion UAH was allocated for the purchase of housing for employees of State Emergency Service of Ukraine. 19 dormitories of high comfort were put into operation, more than 33 thousand land plots were transferred into ownership to participants of anti-terror and united forces operations (ATO/UFO).

The Prime Minister stressed that wages of servicemen increased by more than 30.  He also emphasized that an important step in the implementation of the security and defense policy was  consolidation of the course of rapprochement with the EU and NATO, active implementation of NATO standards and creation of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs.

At present, regular improvements and re-equipment of not only the Armed Forces, but also units of support of law and order and rescue of citizens are being implemented.

On February 13, the Prime Minister of Ukraine presented a report on the work of the Government for 2018 - in strict conformity with the requirements of the legislation and within the framework of implementation of the policy of openness of the Government. The report will be submitted for consideration to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. According to Volodymyr Groysman, this report is not just a list of completed projects, but a kind of evaluation of changes in Ukraine.
