South Korea hosted the Second Global AI Summit. At the previous summit, held in the UK, the participating countries signed the Bletchley Declaration.
The development of artificial intelligence has significant potential for the Ukrainian economy and society. The technology can help improve efficiency in various industries, as well as facilitate the emergence of new products and services. At the same time, it is important that the use of AI is ethical and responsible - for the benefit of people, not to cause harm.
The Summit participants agreed on a Ministerial Statement, to which Ukraine joined. In total, 27 countries and EU representatives joined the statement, which focuses on three goals: AI security, innovation, and inclusiveness.
"Ukraine's participation in AI Seoul Summit and signing of the ministerial statement is a clear signal of our commitment to responsible and ethical AI development. We are already actively working on the implementation of AI in various areas, boosting the development of the Ukrainian economy and improving the lives of our citizens," said Georgiy Dubinsky, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, who represented Ukraine at the summit.
To recap, Ukraine has also published a roadmap for AI regulation.
