  • Ministry of Strategic Industries: 7 agreements concluded at the Eurosatory international exhibition

On 17-21 June, Eurosatory, one of the largest international defence and security industry exhibitions, is taking place in Paris. Ukrainian companies, both state-owned and private, took part in the event. In addition to presenting their innovations, they signed documents on future partnerships. The Ministry of Strategic Industries was represented by Serhii Boyev, Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

Ukroboronprom JSC companies signed five documents with European companies.

Two of them are with the French company Thales. The first is a memorandum on the establishment of a joint venture in Ukraine that will repair and modernise equipment for electronic warfare, communications, air defence systems and radars.

The second concerns the French side's intention to establish a service centre in Ukraine that will maintain and test electronic warfare equipment and radars.

The cooperation agreement with Hexadron regulates cooperation on the joint production of an unmanned aerial vehicle.

A cooperation agreement on the installation and test use of navigation systems on Ukrainian-made radars was signed with Exail.

Also, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Arquus. This document covers the maintenance and modernisation of armoured vehicles.

In addition, the French association GICAT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Technological Forces of Ukraine, and one of the private drone developers agreed to jointly develop a UAV with Thales.

"The Ukrainian and European defence sectors have a lot to share with each other. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful cooperation that will increase the defence capability not only of Ukraine but also of the entire European Union, of which we will eventually become a part," said Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
