As reported earlier, on 1 March, pension payments were indexed for 10.5 million pensioners. For the first time, the lowest pensions were indexed.

In addition to the indexation of pensions, starting from 1 March 2023, monthly insurance payments to victims of industrial accidents and occupational diseases that caused disability and to persons entitled to insurance payments in the event of the victim's death were also indexed.

These payments were also indexed by 19.7% for 167,000 victims and persons entitled to monthly insurance payments in case of the victim's death. The amount of the increase in payments after the recalculation cannot exceed UAH 1,500.

The recalculation is made in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory State Social Insurance": Insurance benefits are funds paid to insured persons in the event of an insured event. The list of circumstances and occupational diseases under which an insured event occurs is set out in the Government Resolution "On Approval of the Procedure for Investigation and Recording of Accidents, Occupational Diseases and Accidents at Work".
