Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity: Starting today, Ukrposhta branches are accepting applications for the Winter Support programme

Today, November 18, Ukrposhta branches are starting to accept applications for UAH 1,000 in aid under the Winter Support Program. Applications can be submitted until December 24, 2025, at any of more than 26,000 permanent and mobile branches throughout Ukraine. The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity explains who is eligible for this assistance and what documents are required.

If a person receives a pension or state social assistance through Ukrposhta, the payment of UAH 1,000 will be automatically credited to the same special account. In this case, he/she will not have to submit an application.

Those who receive their pension in a bank account and do not use the Diia app can approach any Ukrposhta branch and fill out a written application on the spot. Ukrainians who do not have a taxpayer registration number, as well as guardians of incapacitated persons, can also submit an application at a branch. To do this, the guardian must have documents confirming their identity and designation as a guardian.

Those who cannot reach a branch should call the Ukrposhta hotline at 0 800 300 545, and a postman will visit the citizen at home to help him/her submit their application. Residents of frontline territories who do not have a branch nearby can submit their application in writing through a mobile branch.

The payment of UAH 1,000 is available to all citizens residing in Ukraine, both adults and children. To apply for assistance, one of the parents or another legal representative of the child must submit an application. A separate application must be completed for each child. If you are unable to submit your application through Diia, you can do so at an Ukrposhta branch.

The payment received can be used at an Ukrposhta branch to:

  • pay for utilities and postal services;
  • purchase goods or order Ukrainian-made medicines;
  • subscribe to print publications — newspapers or magazines;
  • make charitable contributions, including to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
