Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity: Memorandum of cooperation on the provision of international technical assistance within the framework of the Recovery for All project signed

Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, and Tawnia Sanford Ammar, Country Director of Alinea International Ltd. in Ukraine, signed a memorandum of cooperation. It provides for the provision of international technical assistance within the framework of the Recovery for All (RFA) project to enhance the Ministry’s capacity in strategic planning in the social sector.

The cooperation involves supporting the development of strategic planning processes, providing expert support, conducting training and capacity-building for the Ministry, and developing methodologies, tools, software, draft regulatory acts, and communication materials.

“We are grateful to the Government of Canada for its support through the Recovery for All project. “This memorandum provides us with practical tools to strengthen the Ministry’s capacity in strategic planning, particularly in developing gender-sensitive, inclusive, and citizen-centered policies, as well as in implementing modern data-driven approaches to monitoring and evaluation,” said Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denys Uliutin.

According to him, the signing of the memorandum is an important step in preparing Strategies for the development of the social sector, which aim to establish a comprehensive system of support for individuals throughout their lives, strengthen human potential, reduce inequality, and create conditions for citizens’ active participation in the country’s development.

The Recovery for All project is funded by the Government of Canada and aims to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian communities affected by the war to plan, finance, and manage recovery, as well as to shape inclusive and citizen-centered public policy.
